EVM Group launched Moldovan banks efficiency rankings of (hereinafter - ranking) based on the public third quarter 2009 financial results.
From the begining a huge decrease of net income is notable compared to third quarter of 2008. On the whole banking system, this index decreased by 96% or more than 1 billion lei. This reduction was not so much due to revenue, as substantial increases in expenditures. Time noted above has not disrupted, however, leaders position in the ranking. Thus, as at the end of last year and previous quarter on top place is Moldova-Agroindbank, second place - Victoriabank and Banca de Economii - third place. Moldindconbank and Banca Sociala climbed one step up in the top compared with the first semester, thus occupying 4th and 5th places. At the same time with 2 steps climbed in the ranking Energbank and Mobiasbanca - Groupe Societe Generale, place 7 and 9.
Speaking about regressions, a break down of 2 steps over the last 3 months happened with EuroCreditBank (position 6) and a crash from the 7th place (during the first semester, 2009) to 14th place of the Eximabank Gruppo Veneto Banca.
