Despite the optimism generated by the increasing frequency and volume of transactions, the market capitalization for September has created a feeling of deja vu on the market. It declined at the end of last month below the 13 billion lei, down to 12,788 billion. Compared with the end of August, the fall was about 913 million. Thus, during the last 2 months the market capitalization decreased from values of over 15 billion lei to less than 13 billion lei.

The ranking of shares with the highest market value, since Moldova Stock Exchange was founded, is still led by securities issued by MOBIASBANCA - Groupe Societe Generale. The commercial banks Victoriabank and Finance and Commerce Bank have lowered the deck stairs because of falling stock quotes. For the same reason, Banca Sociala is not in this ranking any more. The stock capitalization weight of the shares included in ranking represents about 56% (7183 billion lei) of whole stock market capitalization.
